Wall Restoration Project

 

Our volunteer Board of Directors is asking for your help to repair our waterfront retaining wall. The wall which was built in the 1930's has weathered many storms and now needs repairs to stop erosion. Since a good portion of the camp activities are at the waterfront, these repairs are important to our programs.

In 2014 we entered into an agreement with Scott Construction Corporation to repair our waterfront. For a total of $46,875 the North and South wall facing the lake (375 SF @ 125 $/SF) can be repaired. Stage one of our restoration is complete. Compromised concrete was chipped away and problem areas were patched.  Erosion continues to take its toll so we need $25,000 to complete the restoration. Most years we designate the majority of the proceeds from our annual wine tasting and silent auction fundraiser toward the wall restoration project.

We are extremely grateful for all donations. Patrons who donate $500 or more will have their name(s) or business name engraved on a plaque that currently hangs in the main hall and has become part of the legacy of Camp Laughing Loon.
